“We’ve updated our SEO score algorithm. Click here to recalculate the SEO scores for all posts and pages.”

Is it really necessary to have this message posted permanently with no option to remove it?

Selecting ‘x’ only removes it until the page is refreshed. The usual method of visiting the linked page, even though I don’t want to, seems not to work with this latest ‘vitally important‘ message?

Being unable to remove the notice usually indicates too aggressive caching, as clicking the X should set a WP option to hide the notice.

Please click the X and then clear your database- and object caches before doing anything else. That should solve it.

    It’s not a caching issue

I have the same problem here, the message also is conflicting with javascript functions in the admin preventing from changing publish date, swtiching between text and visual, and many other… had to disable the SEO plugin to get everything working in the admin.

Same problem here. Is it actually recalulating or is the process not being completed?

Same problem as well. I don’t have any cache configured besides the default way wordpress handles cache.

Also just to get it to go through I had to add focus keyword to at least one of my posts. Still won’t go away though, but before would just say 0/0 without saying complete or anything.

    Same here, is it recalculating?
I click “recalculate” and takes no time to reload the page but the message stays there.

    Clear cache – nothing
    Clear Database – nothing

    Thank you …

This problem occurs on all of my blogs too, very annoying. It’s not a caching problem.

I’ve got the same problem with my multisite installation. It does not appear to be a caching issue (it still might be, because there is an Object Cache running, but if so, the interaction between the plugin and the WP caching functions would seem to be buggy).

    Ulme

Got the same on my multisite. No cache plugin running, so it cannot be a caching issue.

I have also got the “We’ve updated our SEO score algorithm. Click here to recalculate the SEO scores for all posts and pages.” message showing up on 3.0.1, even after clicking the X buttona and clearing all my sites caches and service caches such as Cloudflare.

Did not have problems prior to V3 and im using a multisite installation.

Same problem on all my sites, multisites. Yoast SEO plugin had this issue before also, that a notification could not be closed. Very annoying.

Just upgraded to 3.03….problem did not go away. In fact, it’s even worse now that i am getting “unresponsive script” while recalulating
