“We’ve updated our SEO score algorithm. Click here to recalculate the SEO scores for all posts and pages.”

Is it really necessary to have this message posted permanently with no option to remove it?

Selecting ‘x’ only removes it until the page is refreshed. The usual method of visiting the linked page, even though I don’t want to, seems not to work with this latest ‘vitally important‘ message?

  • Same problem as with everyone else. No caching on a brand new Multisite install (that only has one site at the moment.)
    Very annoying.

Same here, multisite install and the notification is appearing all the time. Cleared all cache.

@enchiridion, @anybody: is it possible to roll back to 2.3.x without crashing the plugin db options?

    (@photooseu)

@marcelo, I had the same problems on many websites and it’s not a cache problem in my case.

What I did is download stable version 2.3.5, upload the files with FTP and just overwrite the 3.0.3 version. Cleaning the cache and everything is running smooth again.

    Hope this helps.

I am having the same issue. When I click to “recalculate” my score, whatever that means, it runs through a little over 1000 items on my site. I see the progress bar move as things happen. However, once it finishes, nothing happens. There’s no “Done!” or anything…so I X out of the box and then refresh and boom, there’s the box asking me to recalculate again.

Same problem. Scan doesn’t seem to finish. Tried disabling cache, no joy. Tried deactivating and reactivating YOAST SEO, no joy. Thought today’s patch would fix, no joy.

    No joy.

I’m not using a caching service or plugin, not that I’m aware of anyway. Is there another potential cause?

Hello, I just find out a 1 minute simple fix.

    – Go to: wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/admin
    – Edit the file called: “class-admin-init.php”
    – Go to line: 179 and remove all that public function content, the code must be like this:

    public function recalculate_notice() {}

    Screenshot

Work for me, I have WordPress 4.3.1 Multisite Installation.

3.04 released and this issue is still not resolved.

    Kreeger

    (@kreeger)

This mad me and my clients crazy. Impossible to hide this notice!

We dont have cache at this moment.

When I click on Recalculate, it gives me a white popup with…

“Recalcul des scores SEO pour tous les contenus avec un mot-clé.

=====big and empty bar with no progress=====

    0 de 0 effectué.”

    Nothing appends.

    Still not fixed in 3.0.4

Thank’s Alexander, it works for me!

I using WordPress 4.3.1 Multisite Instalation too.

    Surbma

    (@surbma)

3.0.4 version still has this issue. It is very annoying. The same problem was with previous versions with other notifications, so it is not a new problem.

I can’t believe, they can not solve it.

    Hi all,

Just to confirm this is not an issue with caching, this is strictly a multisite bug, the reason that some people with multisite have been able to dismiss the message is because in order to produce this bug in the first place you have to run the recalculate process on your primary site within the network

I have opened an issue on GitHub and I will hopefully raising a PR later. For updates you can check here:

I am not on multi-site I am single and it will not go away with cache and varnish. Internal problem for sure. Awaiting a real resolution.
