• Hi, I love WordFence plugin!
I recently installed in on a site that was hacked and am testing the plugin.

I also have the plugin WP security installed because it allows me to mask the login page.

I have Wordfense set up to immediately block ips for attempted logins for “admin”.

And also to lockout invalid users: “admin” is an invalid user.

This morning when I revied the live trafic log i see two attempted logins from same ip for “admin”

Should this ip have been blocked after the first attempt?

  • Hi,

How long do you have set for “How long is an IP address blocked when it breaks a rule”?

    Thanks,
    Brian
