WF Generating 100s of Pages

    For some reason, WF has started generating 100s of pages (‘crawled – currently not indexed’) that are showing up in GSC with the following type of URL:

    /?wordfence_lh=1&hid=AA4D688073CAEECF5A2F0B386694980E

    What is this, do I need to be concerned?

    Thanks for reaching out to us!

    Wordfence ?wordfence_lh=1&hid= query string URLs are used by Live Traffic and are normal to see. They should load a blank page when visited directly. You can try visiting one of the URLs to see if that’s the case.

    As you saw in Google Search Console, those URLs are listed under Excluded > Crawled — Currently Not Indexed. Google should be excluding these, so the site behavior with the blank pages not being indexed is what you want to see.
