What a mess…

  • The techs at GoDaddy were really helpful in helping me install the current version of WP. (I’m hosting my site on another server other than the WP site…)
    BUT, the problem is:

    1. After uploading and installing some nice themes into the correct themes folder on my harddrive, they DON’T appear anything like how they were supposed to. Sections missing, etc.

    2. Widgets…plugins…same thing…except, tehy don’t even exist after uploading. I can see them as choices, but activating them does nothing.

    ANy help to resolve these issues will be appreciated.

  • you have to upload files using ftp in ascii mode not binary mode. that could be the problem. Could be also permissions. double check that
