Thank goodness I had a backup from yesterday, so I only lost all my work today. I had to restore my backup to clear out the mess that their (secret) Otter Blocks left behind. No warning that they were going to mess with my system like this by installing this block builder! But I see now from their defensive comments here that they apparently let us know in the fine print somewhere.

Pass on this – there are many other plugins out there that won’t create this havoc.

    Hi,

It might be a misunderstanding, the new version has default compatibility with Gutenberg which can be removed and you can use it with any page builders and design pages with that.

    I hope this helps!!

    Hi @tipkilby!

Thank you for choosing LightStart and for sharing your feedback with us.

We’re sorry that recent changes don’t look helpful for your use cases.

We have made changes in the recent versions of the plugin to make the user experience better and give more flexibility in customizing the maintenance page, as you can now use Gutenberg editor or a page builder to easily customize the page and select a pre-created design or create your new custom one. These changes shouldn’t affect the rest of your website.

In case you do not want to use the pre-design templates, you can remove the Otter plugin and continue using the LightStart plugin without it.

Thanks for understanding and have a nice day!
