The developers are working on this issue as we speak. If you check your current version you will notice that this feature DB Scan is disabled until a fix is available.

Yes this is actually resolved in-so-far as the DB scan feature has been removed totally and hence there is no danger of you accidentally deleting non-malicious entries from your DB table. (The problem was related to false positives and accidental deletion of some DB data)
If you read that article further down you will see that he mentions that the plugin was updated to resolve this problem.

We are planning on re-introducing the DB scanning feature in a future update with a lot of improvements and much more flexibility which will give the user more control over what is deleted.
