What am I doing wrong?

  • Hi. So I’ve just bought myself a domain from ‘crazy domains’ and a hosting package from ‘tso host’.

    Within tso i’ve added my new domain name using the ‘add new website’ option and installed the wordpress application.

    It’s telling me I can now log into wordpress by going to ‘my website/wp-admin’ and entering my credentials. But when I click it just goes straight to the crazy domain homepage; there’s no wordpress login. Any ideas?

  • FTP into your site (or whatever file management application your host provides) & delete the root index.html page. You should also be aware that it can take up top 72 hours for a newly registered domain name to be available for use on a site.

    You will also have to log into your Crazy Domains account and change the nameservers of your domain to the nameservers at TSO Host. This change will also take time to become effective. Check the help sections with both for where to find the nameserver names and how to change them.

    Likely caused by a nameserver issue. This often takes 24-48 hours to be resolved even after you’ve changed the nameservers
