What are “Please Moderate messages” from WordPress?

From your WordPress installation, caused by a visitor leaving a comment that needs moderation (approval).

It’s from a visitor, I don’t know how that can be my blog isn’t even public yet.

Was it spam, by any chance? Some spammers appear to have developed a way to post comments by intereacting with the core files directly rather than through the usual web form.

How can you tell if it’s related to Spam ? I can’t tell if it’s related to Spam or not!

The content of the comment is normally enough to identify it.

This is taken from a real email message sent to me by wordpress, could it be SPAM ?
