    what are the advantages and disadvantages of removing footer credits like power by wordpress and the theme name?

  • There are no disadvantages. It’s just simply a way of “thanking” both the WP core and theme developers by giving them a link back.

    I prefer to use a separate Credits page, or a Credits section at the end of an About page, with a custom menu in the footer linking to things like Privacy and Credits.

    That’s not a problem. WordPress itself doesn’t apply any limitations on removing credit links in the footer of a site. Neither should any theme from https://www.ads-software.com/themes/
