I’ve been trying to migrate my site to new hosting, but am having problems because my Db is way to large and is causing problems. It’s about 1.01GB right now. I’ve installed and run an optimizer, but it didn’t clean up very much. I only have about 3000 posts. What could be causing this? How can I figure this out? Please help!

  • It has to be a plugin, maybe a security (such as Wordfence) or statistics plugin. The easiest way to tell which plugin it is, is to open the database in phpmyadmin and try to deduce from there what plugin it is.

Yep, I figured it out late last night, but don’t how to clear it other than manually. It’s the redirection plugin. I missed a setting and it’s been keeping all the log files causing that table to be over 700MB! I told it to keep only a days worth of logs, but they are not automatically clearing.
