You can deploy post boxes (designed to be included inside of a post) using short codes. (Click on the ‘change layout’ button.
We haven’t added shortcodes to the “sidebar widge)ts” since I can’t think of a use case where you wouldn’t want to add the widget.
What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

I’m using Landis landing page, I want to incorporate an email form for visitors to stay in the loop and get on the mailing list for website launch announcements. I want to put the form in the landing page and have it function. There are no widgets avail in this theme I’m using so I want to manually add the shortcodes to the page and let it be within the page itself (landing page)

    Thanks for any help!

Thanks, that makes sense, thanks for giving me more details.

As I said, make sure you build a post-box (not a widget), then scroll down to the “Publication” section and copy & paste the shortcode, eg [easy-opt-in id=69].

Please let me know if this doesn’t solve your problem.

Im note sure what you mean by post-box but I simply used this shortcode which I created for a widget (and currently is in use) and it works like charm. Its very compatible.
