    Welcome to WordPress… you will soon get the hang of it.

    In both examples I would describe them as an archive view in grid format. Some themes come preloaded with these type of views with animation or you could look for a plugin that gives you different options to build something similar. You can select a category to display the grid or you build them yourself one by one. Another option are page builders with additional layouts and animations for grid layouts.
    Each would have layout options to decide how big the image is, where to put the copy, columns and rows plus many more…
