what are those CORE.xxxx files?

    Hi, since ugraded to WP 2.7 Beta (Actually using WordPress 2.7) some (unknow) files have appeared on the server:

    core.16404
core.22271
core.22384

    etc, etc, etc…

    What are they used for, can i delete them?

    Every single file is from 24 up to 56 MB

    They’re generated by your host’s system when something crashes. Bring them to the attention of your host so that they can investigate the problem.

    But the files are useless to you and can be safely deleted unless your host wants to examine them.
