As i understood, even when a request is blocked automatically it will still show up on the live traffic page. So, is there anything that could make it completely disappear? Would directly blocking via server’s firewall (UFW for example) make that happen?

Hi @pao2, thanks for your question.

If your server’s firewall blocks a request first, Wordfence will never log that as the plugin requires PHP to load for WordPress to serve page content to the browser. If somebody is stopped before that happens then the plugin won’t see the visit.

You should see any other security-related events in Live Traffic (if it’s set to “SECURITY ONLY”), even if the Wordfence WAF had to automatically step in and block them for breaking a rule, rather than because of your own settings like Brute Force etc.

    Peter.
