What Database Is Used Here?

  • Hello,

    I came across this site, , and really like what appears to be a database used for the “Home Plan Finder” and the House Plans. What sort of database would be used here? The site appears to be on WordPress, but with a custom theme not searchable online.

  • Hi Dane,

    That’s a custom theme (Korel) built for Korel. I think when you say what Database is used here, you might mean which plugin? WordPress runs on a SQL database. Korel could be doing something as “simple” as using Advanced Custom Fields (ACF, but they’re not, they more likely have just build the custom post type into their theme) to include custom post types in their database which could then be searched. It’s not going to be easy to copy this site without an experienced WP developer.

    Yes, I’m sure I meant “what plugin”. Okay, well I’ll check out ACF but I figured this was probably a very customized site.
