what did I just do? ( 403 Forbidden)

    I am new to word press and I was experimenting and did something wrong. This site was up and working good for a few weeks. The issue i was trying to fix was that:

    When typing the URL in to the browser

    https://www.greenbusinesscapital.com – worked
    greenbusinesscapital.com -did not

    I searched through to archived help threads I found a topic that suggested I change the URL in the WP options settings. Once I attempted to do so I now get the following message.

    Forbidden

    You don’t have permission to access /wp-admin/ on this server.
    Apache/2.0.54 Server at greenbusinesscapital.com Port 80

    I was hoping it would be as easy to log back in and change it but I cant. Any suggestions for the WP newb…Thanks.

  • Enabling greenbusinesscapital.com to work is a DNS / Hosting issue, not a WordPress issue. Talk to your hosting provider about making the non-www version work.

    In the mean time, if you want to get it back up and running, you need to change your URL back to the www version. You can do that following these directions for MySQL:

    https://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/site-url/

    Be careful though, as it involves messing with your DB directly.
