On Google Analytics, I assume this plugin or WooCommerce setss the Label names for “Checkout Labeling.” What are those names? How do we know what to put in there?

And is this still supported by Woo? Is it being actively developed? Does it work with the latest version of WooCommerce? There’s a warning on the plugin page.

    Hi Tevya

The plugin definitely works with the latest version of WooCommerce. It doesn’t look like it’s being updated very often though.

What do you mean by Checkout Labeling? Can you post a screen shot?

The process is shown here: https://woocommerce.com/2014/12/use-enhanced-ecommerce-google-analytics/

When you enable Enhanced Ecommerce Settings, there’s a “Checkout Labeling” option that’s offered. But if I understand right, you have to match it to what the ecommerce solution is reporting to GA. So I’m wondering what those labels are for WooCommerce?

Right. I don’t think you need to worry about that.

This plugin sends just the standard e-commerce events. Google Analytics will use the data being sent happily and viewing various reports like the Shopping Behavior and Checkout Behavior will all show data no problem.

As to your question about this still being developed I don’t see any major code changes recently, but I’ve been considering picking up the ball and seeing if I can revive things.

    Hope this helps.

    Okay, thanks!

That would be awesome if you could revive it. I’m a little surprised WooCommerce isn’t more concerned with it’s upkeep. Tracking what’s going on in your store and how people are buying, is vital to running a good estore.

    Hey Tevya,

Did you ever get this figured out?

I put in “Cart” “Checkout” and “Complete” labels but clearly that was wrong because there’s no data showing up for either “Checkout” or “Complete”.

    Did you just delete these?

@tmhoward I’ve just left the checkout labeling portion off. It seems to track pretty good data with just the enhanced ecommerce portion turned on. Though it would be nice to know for sure how to set up the checkout labeling, or have some answer as to why it’s not helpful or useful here.

Looks like they updated the plugin recently, which is good. So it’s still being actively updated/maintained.
