• I’m moving my blog from x10hosting to createandhost (byethost).

What does byethost use instead of “localhost” in the wp-config.php file?

  • Try asking byethost. ??

My previous support tickets at createandhost have not been answered, and they don’t have a support forum.
    That’s why I’m asking here.

Sorry but we don’t have the answer. Only your hosts can answer that question.

Any other suggestions to making the move?
I’ve spent a lot of hours on it today following all the guides I could find.

I changed the dns settings to createandhost first.
So I can’t access my dashboard anymore.

I still have a copy of my whole blog folder and access to phpmyadmin in my old webhost (x10hosting).

My free createandhost account doesn’t have the option of adding mysql user names.

Are you paying for this hosting?

No it’s the free account you can’t add new users but I should be able to use the username/password I use to login to the control panel.

Then all I can suggest is that you consider buying some hosting with a decent level of support. Not only do we not recommend using free hosting for WordPress but we could never – in a month of Sundays – manage to guess what your current hosts’ database hostname is.

    Sorry…
