• Hello there!

I am a huge advocate of this plugin and the impact it makes on analytics setup, well done! I have interacted with in for a few deployments, and value highly what you have built.

I am currently deploying a new WooCommerce store and am setting your plugin up from scratch.

    A couple of questions:
    – What specific tasks does the ecommerce helper click tracker do?
    – Do I still need to set up new tags for interactions such as product impressions, product list view, product detail view, Add to Cart, Remove from cart, cart page view, checkout page view, coupon tracking, purchase and refunds?

    Thank you for your time.

    Hi Brendon,

    Thanks for the kind words!
Such compliments help me to keep working on this plugin ??

What specific tasks does the ecommerce helper click tracker do?

There are ecommerce events that happen after the pageload and before the next page loads. Usually clicks on important elements, like a product in a product list or the add to cart button. This helper click tracker tag captures such events and sends the appropriate action to GA. You may also use those events to capture those ecommerce events and send an AddToCart event to a Facebook pixel or other marketing tag.

Do I still need to set up new tags for interactions such as…

If you follow my guide, you can setup enhanced ecommerce tracking with 2 tags in your GTM container. Please not that refund tracking is currently not part of the plugin as it involves codes on your admin area which is a but more tricky.
