What does “poster” do?

    “WordPress Video Player” mentions a “poster”, but does not mention what that option does. Is it an image which is shown before a video, after a video, or what does it do?

    do you mean the thumbnails? If yes, then please note that this are the cover photos. and you can add the images as well.
