What does the URL of the stockist locator mean?

In the plugin settings, I can see a textbox with ‘URL of the stockist locator (where the main locator shortcode has been added)’
What is the URL of the stockist locator, and what is the shortcode/what does it do?
Apologies for all these questions, just have a few issues – the plugin looks great and I’d like to get these few things tidied up so we can launch ??
