While most similar plugins claim to measure abandoned carts, they rather measure abandoned checkouts. Why? Because you don’t get the user email before the it is entered on the ceckout page. Simple as that. How does your plugin exactly work? Does it show the rate of abandoned carts? That means: a user put something in the cart, but did never purchase anything or even visited the checkout page. This is a huge difference compared to a user who had already entered personal data and abandoned the checkout.

Hi @cutu234, ideally, our plugin captures visitor emails in real-time as they’re typing them into the email address field on the checkout page

In the same way, our plugin captures the carts of the guest users from the checkout page. We capture the guest user’s abandoned cart only after the customer enters the “Email Address” on the checkout page. Our plugin does capture the cart from the cart page; these carts do not have any personal information of the customers. It will contain only the cart details. To capture this information, guest customers would need to reach the cart page of the website.

These options for capturing cart data and emails on the lite version might be limited for you. That is where the pro version comes in, offering more functionalities and flexibility. You can also check out the comparison between both versions here to see how the pro version can help you recover more abandoned carts

Thank you very much. It’s not that I miss any functionality. But technically it’s not quite correct to call this “abandoned cart”. It’s rather an abandoned checkout. This is an important difference. In our shop, for example, within 20 minutes we have a conversion rate of 60% after users filled in their email address. Within 90 minutes the conversion increases to over 90% without sending one single email. However, this is NOT the cart conversion rate (that is very likely much lower). This is important for users to understand when using your plugin.
