What exactly is net sales?

    This seems like a very useful plugin that will meet my needs (and when my business grows I can move to the paid version). However, I need to understand a couple of things. I will make 2 separate posts since they are very different questions.
    Here is the first one:

    When talking about the commission that I will give to the affiliates, what exactly do you mean by “net sales”? Does this include shipping and taxes?
    If yes, is there any way I can configure the plugin (even with hooks or filters) so that shipping and taxes are NOT included in the calculation of the commission?
