Hi! ?? I compared the two plugins Koko Analytics and Statify to find out which is more suitable for me. With Koko Analytics, the answer to my question was that “In short, Koko will deactivate/disable itself completely if a user has Do Not Track set to Yes in their browser and this feature is enabled in Koko settings.” For this reason, Koko Analytics is out of the question for me.

What about Statify? Does the browser setting “Do not track” affect the data collection in Statify in any way?

If this is not the case with Statify, I wonder how it is technically possible to track page views in a privacy-compliant way so that the “Do not track” setting is not triggered? Are no IP addresses processed at all?

That’s all, I would be very happy to get an answer. Thank you so, so much! ????

    Hi @wp22question,

as Statify does not collect IP addresses or other personal tracking data, Statify ignores the DNT flag if submitted by the browser. So the setting does not affect Statify statistics.

If you track via JavaScript (recommended in combination with a caching plugin for example), only blocking JavaScript via NoScript or other similar browser plugins may lead to views not being tracked – that’s the same for all JavaScript based tracking.

    Cheers
