What we are looking for is a way to sell vendors plugins for a social software.

Right now the users would register on our WP site and then become a vendor as well. However we would like to be able to lock down the WP end of the site and only have that access for admin. We would like to have vendors register right from the store my account page which is our default page.

We also need a compatible software license manager so we can assign a key to each plugin purchased, this key will follow the purchased product forever and not be able to be reassigned to another user or product.

Once a vendor creates a product they want to sell, that product needs to be in pending status until management can approve the product. A copy of the vendors plugin will need to be attached somehow for visual approval by the team in zip format so we can test it.

Once we approve the product then the product will be in approved status and visable in the store.

We would also like to charge a small fee for store membership. And be able to block their plugin sales and suspend their login until they pay their dues.

There will need to be product reviews.

There will also need to be a way for the consumer to get support from the vendor, maybe some kind of intenal vendor support section for each vendor.

We also need a way for the vendors to issue updates to their customers.

Are we able to do all of this with your plugin and extensions?

If so what else do we need other than the main plugin?

    Thank you for your time

    Dave

    Hi Dave,

Thanks for all the details! It sounds like the Product Vendors extension checks the boxes from what you describe. Vendors don’t have full admin access to your dashboard, but they can create and manage their products. You can choose whether to approve them before they’re published, or not. All sales flow through your website and you can set commissions to get paid instead of charging a membership fee. You can find more details in the documentation.

For selling software license keys, you might want to look at WooCommerce API Manager. You’ll find more details in the documentation.

    Hope this helps!
