What fields does the standard search, searches in

WooCommerce uses the same structure as WordPress Posts and Pages. That said, you can use Yoast to help manage search engine optimization per product.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I ment the search within WP/Woo. The seach field (mostly found in the header or sidebar).

What fields does this search uses for its results on the searchpage (like /?s=mooi&post_type=product)

WooCommerce searches the title or post content only. There are a few plugins that extend the search taxonomies, like WooCommerce Product Search:

Is there any documentation on this? Is the short_description also post content? So what is included in the definition of ‘post content’. And you are writing ‘Or’ but is it OR or AND?

I understand there are plugins yes, but realy are looking for the documentation of the default ??

One last question: do you mean post_content from https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Class_Reference/WP_Post when we speak of ‘the content’ AND post_name when we speak of ‘title’?

As I tested it it searches trough:
– name
– description
– short description
