• Had customised a site I am developing, then changed a simple text color in the footer via the theme dashboard ‘Quick Css’ and it completely messed up all the work we had done.

Trying to establish where that CSS is stored so I can restore from an earlier backup.
Can’t do a site back up because we customised a lot of files over the past week.

  • Which theme are you using? While there are many themes which have a Custom CSS option, I haven’t seen one that has a Quick CSS option. Can’t you just go back into the Quick CSS option and remove your change?

Unfortunately changing that one thing caused something to happen to the theme that wouldn’t rectify with css changes. Had someone working on it for 6hrs.

I have since discovered that different themes save the ‘Quick CSS from the dashboard options in various places, some even as an add-on at the end of a php file or in the Db.

I found a solution which was to save the files I had changed since the last back up then rolled the entire site back to the last back up and uploaded the customised files.

Everything works 100% now and I will never use the theme ‘Quick CSS’ for anything again.
