What file to edit to change default sidebar text?

    I’m using WP 3.0 multisite, and want a pre-defined sidebar for all new blogs.

    Editing sidebar.php directly DOES NOT work since my sidebar is widgetized. So my question is two-fold:

    1. Where in the WP 3.0 file system can I make simple changes to the default sidebar? (change the text, add, remove extra links, etc)

    2. Is there a plugin that allows me to define a new default sidebar some other way?
