    [display-posts include_excerpt="true" image_size="thumbnail" ignore_sticky_posts="true"]

but it doesn’t filter the sticky posts.

The ignore_sticky_posts parameter should work the same way as the WordPress core parameter with the same name. This prevents WordPress from automatically inserting the sticky posts to the top of the query.

It doesn’t actually exclude the sticky posts from the query. If the most recently published post is a sticky post, it will appear at the top of the list because of its post date.

Here’s a tutorial on how to actually exclude sticky posts from appearing in your listings: https://displayposts.com/2019/01/09/display-or-hide-sticky-posts/
