It used to be as easy as clicking checkbox to hide a page title on a static page, or not show it in the navigation.

    These boxes are now gone.

When I add a new page on a new site, the page title is displayed by default and I dont see how to prevent it from displaying.

Everything I see in the forums says I have to edit php files, which kind of defeats the purpose of a simple website, especially when it used to be there, now it’s not.

    Did I miss something?

    Thanks,

    Merrill

  • These boxes are now gone.

They were never part of WordPress core, so I can only assume that this was theme-specific functionality.

Thanks for your quick reply. I’ll check with Headway because they’ve updated, too.

I always assumed it was part of WordPress, so thanks for putting me in line.
