What happened to lightbox / 'click for next photo' functions?

  • I just finished testing out 50 themes and only 3 of them can do this:

    – There’s a photo gallery
    – Click on thumbnail -> you get taken to the full-size photo
    – Click on that photo -> you get taken to the next photo in the gallery. THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART THAT I NEED.

      My questions are:

      – Does anyone know any other themes that do this?

      – How can I search for such themes?

      – Why is this such a rare feature? It’s basically universal on any website of any kind anywhere that has sets of photos.

      (I can’t use any of the three photo-friendly themes because one is 6 years old and otherwise broken; the other two – twenty thirteen and twenty fourteen – are unusable due to gigantic empty spaces around all the page elements.)

  • Well, you can work with any of the themes available. The main thing you need to look is checking the plugins that does achieve your purpose. There are many plugins both free and premium.
