What happened to 'Page Templates' drop-down in WordPress 3.1?

    Im using 3.0 (3.1) and i have noticed when i create a page, the drop down page templates that used to be on the right is missing.

    Have i done something?

    Just worked it out.

    i have to create a page and save the id

    example Page id = 15

    Save file as:

    page-15.php

    What do you mean by this solution, exactly? can you walk me through the steps? same issue with 3.1

    This would mean a lot of php files, as well as some changes over and over to change a simple template. I hope the drop down comes back soon.

    The Page template dropdown never went away. You simply have to have at least 1 custom template in your theme for the dropdown to be displayed.
