    Hey,

I didn’t check one of my websites, in this case a WordPress installation (version 6.5.4), for around half a year, and now I’ve just found out that the MetaGallery, which I’ve placed on my landing page, is no longer present. Instead there’s just the old reference to it left: [metagallery id=665]

What happened to the MetaGallery feature? The plugins on my website were getting automated updates, so one of the more recent plugin updates seem to have caused the MetaGallery to vanish. I can remember there being a separate “MetaGallery” configuration menu under in the backend navigation menu, right under the “MetaSlider” menu item – but it’s not there anymore.

Strangely enough, the support section of the MetaSlider website doesn’t even mention the MetaGallery feature at all, while the description of MetaSlider’s www.ads-software.com plugin page still does.

Please tell me if you need any additional information to investigate this issue.

    Regards,
    Nefiji

    Hi @nefiji

    Thanks for using MetaSlider.

Sorry for the confusion, but we made the decision to drop that gallery.

The gallery was only ever marked as “Beta” and never had an official release. It was based on an old code library that is no longer being updated. It didn’t have a positive future. Many months ago we disabled the gallery for new installs.

We’re working to build a new gallery option based on the main MetaSlider features.

If you do want to keep the gallery, you can keep using MetaSlider version 3.60.

Thank you very much for the answer, I’ll stick to using MetaSlider 3.60.0 for now.

    Regards,
    Nefiji
