    Hi,

I was wondering what would possibly happen to the job pages after they are taken off from the front-end of the site ?

I was thinking if it would be possibly archived after the job listing is deleted/hidden from the front-end site. So, especially in the scenario, when people are redirected to the website after clicking on the old job advert links on the social media, they can still access the page without receiving any 404 errors.

    Kind Regards,

    Bikash

    Hello Bikasho1,

First thing we will suggest you that must need to make sure that jobs must be removed from “Trash” folder as well.

Second thing is that, it might be your jobs coming from cache. You need to fix cache issue on your site.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi,

Thank you for your reply but I am still a little bit confused.

I still don’t understand what would happen, for an example, if a user were to be redirected to the individual job post on the website after clicking on the link from the social media. However, if the posts was not available on the website anymore ( if it was deleted/ hidden from the front-end site because the position has been filled out)

Then, would the user get a 404 error page or would they possibly be shown the archived version of the page from when it was published on the site ?

    Kind Regards,

    Bikash

    Bikash,

Deleting and hiding a job are two different things. If you hiding a job then it’s only hidden from front-end, not from the back-end (still, reside in the database).

Please make sure at your end, are you deleting or hiding a job?

    Hi,

I wasn’t necessarily thinking about deleting the job posts but rather just hide it from the job listing page on the front-end site after the position has been filled out.

However, I think that the posts needs to be published publicly for being able to be viewed on the site. So, I was wondering if there is a way by which individual job posts can be hidden from the site but when users are redirected to that page through links from other sites, they are still able to view that page.

    Thank you.

    Dear Bikash,

OK, now we got your point.

Kindly use following steps to resolve this issue.

    1. Edit particular Job
    2. Go to right column named “Publish”
    3. Edit Visibility & make it “Private”
    4. Click on “Update”.

After doing this, user will get 404 error ( as you need ?? ) .

    Thanks & Regards,
