• So, I’m running an experiment now and began wondering what happens when a Variation wins and I keep it. Will I always need to keep the code on my site and keep a Convert Experiments subscription in order to retain the variation on my site? Because I can’t imagine that Convert experiments changes the HTML on my site.

Does this make sense? In other words, if I keep a variation, maybe do this 2 or 3 times so that the page I originally built looks very very different than the page that visitors see on Convert experiments, what happens if I remove the code? Won’t the page just revert back to the page as I originally built it? Shouldn’t I get the HTML of each version and use that HTML as the ‘hard’ original copy each time? How would I do this? Is there a way to download the HTML of an experiment when one is done?

In other words, how do I save a variation so that the new ‘winning’ version is now a permanent part of my site?

  • Correct it reverts back to the original. You should change the original to match the winner and test something new.
