What happens when page is left open for days?

    Good question.

    Since Google gets a signal every 10 seconds that the page is still open, Analytics will register this. The average Time-on-Page value will increase if many people leave the page open the whole day.

    Although it is the real Time-on-Site you may want to know how much time people spend reading your content. That will be possible in the next plugin’s update.
