What happens when you delete WC orders and customers?

Great, thanks for your answer and for linking to your documentation.
What impact does it have on performance if you delete old orders? In our case we almost 30000 orders, stored back from 2020.
So my idea is to use your plugin to clean up old orders, and then set up the Personal data retention to automatically delete orders older than 6 months, in order to avoid a heavy database in the future.

Well, it seems you have lots of old orders. Once you delete orders and customers, It will delete that order related data and customer from your database. It will not change status of order or customer. Also it will not trigger any email.

Selected orders and customers will be deleted from databases permanently. Large number of orders and customer once deleted it will impact your database performance positively. It will improve performance and reduce database size so surely improve website and database depending on how many data you delete and your server.

One last question – I’m only in need of one license.
However, is it possible to use that license on a copy of the website, in order to see how it works, before using it on the live site?
