What have I done?

  • I just upgraded to version 3.6 and I really don’t like it, the developers keep changing things and I’m just getting real comfortable with the previous version. Is there anyway to go back to 3.5.2? I really don’t like some of the changes in 3.6.

  • Reverting to the previous version is NOT a solution, but will add more problems. Please review the WP 3.6 troubleshooting master list.

    Your reaction to the new version is not unusual. It happens often that users dislike new versions. Keep in mind that the developers will polish the new WP and surely release patches in the future. If you want to keep up with the latest security (and other) solutions for your site, it’s recommended to use the latest versions of software.
    If you decide to roll back to the old version and keep it, one day you will end up with your site being hacked, or you won’t be able to use a certain plugin or theme or…

    About “going back”.Do you have a backup of your site?

    Thanks Krishna and Media X – I guess I will work with it and get used to it. It’s just frustrating at times…thanks again, I’ll hang in!
