• What I view on the administrative side (setup) is not what I see on the actual website (online). I don’t know what I am doing. From the admin side, the website looks nice. From the actual website, it is a colossal mess. Please guide me. The actual website is thoughtsandprayer.com. I cannot get that comment off the page because on the admin side, the comment does not exist. Also on the actual website, all the posts flow together. Initially the posts moved via a pointer which is not there. Where can I get some guidance? Canyou guys help me? What I see on the admin side is not at all what I see on the website. HELP!!! PLEASE!!!

  • what exactly do you mean by the “admin side”? The adminstrative dashboard (aka ‘back-end’) is where all of your settings are, including posts and pages as well as comments – but it is NOT where you view your site – that is the ‘front-end’.

SO when you are logged into the Dashboard (you should be an Admin-level user), then you’ll see a menu link on the left for “Posts” and if you click on that you’ll see your post titled “Hello World” – this is the post that WP comes with to get you started – you either delete it or change it.

Under the left-hand menu item you’ll see “Comments” – this is where you’ll find the comment on that “Hello World” post – again, WP starts you off with one comment, which you can delete.

If you are seeing something different in your dashboard you’ll need to post a screenshot of it somewhere so we can see what you are seeing.

Thanks Trisha for the response. This is what I see online:

The person who assisted me in setting this up is currently in the hospital and I am completely lost.

I cant seem to get a screen shot of the view from the admin side. I did a snipping tool shot and a print screen, but no go. Any other suggestions?
