What I this /appeal/61762189561437/login.php

  • On my google analytics page i noticed this url that makes me think i might be hacked /appeal/61762189561437/login.php as in mysite.com/appeal/61762189561437/login.php does anyone know what this is, when i click on the url mysite.com/appeal/61762189561437/login.php i get a 404 page. Is there a security issue involved here?

    It’s just someone looking to see if your site has a backdoor or vulnerable file installed. I just tried to access example.com/forums/whatsupwithyou. You’ll probably find that in your GA page tomorrow.

    No big deal. I often keep track of vulnerable stuff by looking at my logs in the morning to see what the bots are probing.

    To give yourself a bit more comfort, install a plugin like WordFence.
