What if my large @2k file needs to be bigger than my full size?
-
Hi,
First of all, thanks a lot for this great plugin!
Here is my issue, I need the following formats:
– Thumbnail: 150×150
– Medium: 300×300
– Large: 800×800Specific theme thumbnails:
– 920×460
– etcWith the theme I am planning to use, the full size image is used as a full background for some pages. The theme author recommends using 1440×900 pictures. I would like to have a full size @1440×900, a retina full-picture @2880×1800, and have the thumbnails mentioned above. The problem is that the “normal” full size @1440×900 is too small to build the specific theme and large @2k thumbnails. I have a few options there:
– Use a very large full size image to build everything, but it does not suit me as it will be too large for most screens thus not optimised. I would like to keep a full size @1440×900
– Use the retina full size to build all the thumbnails and then replace it by a “normal” full-size image, and then upload the @2k full size image manually. I have not managed to do it yet, but even if it is feasible, this is a very painful process.
– The solution would be to build all the retina thumbnails from the retina full size image, but it does not seem like your plugin allows it, or does it?
When upgrading to premium, what happens when uploading the full-size retina image in the WP admin, does it allow to generate the thumbnails from this image or will it keep using the full-size normal image?
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Pierre
