What if port 25 is closed?

    Hi and thank you for the plugin.
    My new host wants port 25 closed. Will this mean NO WP system emails would work? Would in this case only solution be SMTP plugin and some Host for emails?

    Hi,

    Whilst this is not related in anyway to the plugin you may find that you can change the port in php.ini

    WordPress uses the php setting smtp_port and if that is set to 25 ( normally is )and the host has blocked 25, but opened another port e.g. 2525 then you can set smtp_port = 2525

    However you will need to find out what port your host allows – so you will need to ask your host support.
