What initiate WP automatic upgrade ?

  • Hi,

    I thought that upgrade process was initiated by loading a page of a WP site.

    But this night an automatic update was done in a **protected folder** of a WP site I am testing, but I was not using it at 05:20… simply because I slept. ??

    Any idea ?

    wp sets itself wp-cron tasks to look for updates. If you check your access logs, you’ll probably see that someone accessed (or tried to access) your site around the time of the update
