• Hello I’m using the generatepress theme, initially there was no problem. However, yesterday I made a post as usual, but in the Yoast plugin a kind of [OBJ] symbol appears in the title and slug sections.

    see picture here

    How to solve this?

  • Hi there,

That’s an object replacement character. ?

It appears when your browser can’t read/render a text character. (usually an icon).

Perhaps the font file involved in that is corrupted or didn’t load completely.

This can also be browser-specific in some instances. This isn’t something the theme controls, unfortunately.

You may have to ask Yoast support for this. (perhaps they have an update.)

Now, I directly changed the SEO plugin to Rankmath, and there is no change

    Hi there,

if you temporarily switch to another Theme eg. TwenyTwenty, does the problem still exist ?

This is highly unlikely a theme issue as the theme doesn’t handle that at all.

We haven’t had any other reports on this either.

Are you using a child theme or modified any of the theme files?

    Any custom functions?

Can you check with Yoast SEO’s support to see if they have any ideas?
