What is "generate hash tables" ?

    That’s because nobody has asked it before.

    Hash tables are part of the MO format that WordPress doesn’t appear to make any use of. Hence if you’re just using your MO files with WordPress you can probably leave them off. It will make the files slightly smaller too.
