What is the best way to get started coding WordPress plugins? I already have experience with PHP etc. I was hoping that someone could recommend some good books / tutorials that would cover WordPress 3.3 or at the very least WordPress 3.

If you don’t already know of this section of this site the codex is the best place.. up to date resources, and where all the WP authors documentation is complied https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Writing_a_Plugin

Thanks, I’ve seen that page before, but it reads as more of a list of functions rather than a beginner’s guide on how to program WordPress plugins. I am really looking for a professionally written book or video tutorials since that has been the easiest way for me to learn.
