What is the best way to smooth out the transition?

    I am using the shortcode in a few spots on the page – but the page jumps hard when the “read less” is clicked.

    Is it possible to add a CSS transition or a jQuery animate() to make the “open” and “close” more smooth?

    If so, what would that look like?

    Hello.

    Of course it is possible, however, as every customization request, this cannot be supported under the umbrella of support for core issues.

    I suggest that you identify the source of the issue (theme’s css?a plugin?) and fix it, instead of “patching” the abnormal behavior on top.
