What is the easiest way to import WordPress?

I am not familiar with a plugin to do so however you could backup your database through phpMyAdmin, exporting it to your computer and modifying the local export to only keep the tables you want. After which you can import the table(s) to the new database. I recommend checking with your hosting provider for how to access phpMyAdmin if possible.

Is there a built in tool? I feel that going through the database may not be the ideal way to do this…I’m sure tons of people must import their WordPress…Is there any alternate way?

Have you tried using Tools -> Export?

Try wp-import plugin , and first create xml file from tools> export ,
then install wp-import plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wordpress-importer/ and import xml.

I’m not sure I’m supposed to make a new thread. I did that the XML document is around 5.3 MB…I just got hit with this error. Anything I can do?

How much do I need to split this into? The file is only 5.3 mb…Any ideas?

Split it into 6 parts so that each is under 1 meg.
