    Hello,

I am testing this plugin on a single site, as I am interested in the difference to the one that comes with WPvivid Image Optimizer.

I know it’s not based on cron job, so I am not closing the tab. However, I run an optimization of about 300 images in total, it’s at 70% and running for approx. 4 hours already. Can you say what impacts the duration? Do I have to be active on the tab itself?

    303 images found | Processed:221/303 (72%)

It’s on a dev site, the site is not password protected, it’s behind Cloudflare. I did not add Cloudflare API just yet for the first test run (I think it’s only necessary when actually using it to be able to purche Cloudflare Cache)

    Thanks

    Hello @markussss

It depends on the server’s CPU and hard disk IO speed. For example, on our server, it can process 6000+ attachments within 2 hours. The tab should be active when the process is running.

    All the best

I/O speed is a good hint, I know that this is low with my reseller hosting, as they are strict here to protect other accounts. Active tab, means, I cannot do anything else on the laptop during the time? Becaus there is a big difference wheather I must literally look at the tab, or if I can just keep it open and go on working in other tabs.

Keep the CompressX tab open while image optimization is in progress. You can continue working in other browser tabs during this time.
